Application Process

  1. Register the contractor with the city first, unless applying as a homeowner-builder.
  2. Submit a complete permit packet in person or by email using the city's permit checklists and forms.
  3. Pay the invoice at submittal; if filing by email, city staff sends an invoice and online payment link within 1 to 2 business days.
  4. The city states staff will contact the applicant within 3 full working days if the application is incomplete.
  5. Once review is complete and the permit is issued, the city notifies the contractor or owner-builder.
  6. Schedule inspections by phone and obtain final approval or certificate of occupancy.
