Application Process

  1. Confirm the parcel is inside Bristol city limits rather than in unincorporated Liberty County.
  2. Contact City Hall or the building inspector for current submittal instructions, required supporting documents, fee calculation, and payment options.
  3. For development projects, submit the city's Development Permit Application before beginning any work.
  4. Use the city's iWorQ portal to select the correct permit type: single-family, supplemental, development, mobile home, or electrical/mechanical.
  5. Search for the property and contractor in the portal, complete the application, upload required files, sign, and submit.
  6. Schedule inspections through City Hall or directly with the building inspector during regular business hours.
