Application Process

1. Confirm the parcel is in unincorporated Hamilton County and not inside Jasper, Jennings, or White Springs.
2. Create a Cloudpermit account and select the correct permit type, or start from the county PDF application package.
3. Obtain required pre-permit signoffs shown in the county application as applicable, including 911 addressing, Department of Health septic/well review or city utility confirmation, driveway approval for outside-city projects, and land use/zoning approval.
4. Submit the application with parcel data, project description, valuation, contractor information, and required plans and supporting forms.
5. Provide plan sets and supporting documents identified in the county new-construction packet, including signed and sealed drawings where required, Florida product approval information, energy forms, truss/roof framing details, and floodplain documents if applicable.
6. Pay permit fees and respond to plan review comments.
7. Request inspections through Cloudpermit and obtain final approval before occupancy, certificate release, or final power.
