How to apply for a building permit in Hampton, Florida. Permit authority, application steps, fees, and inspection requirements.

Florida Bradford County Updated March 2026

Permit Authority

Bradford County's zoning page says Hampton has its own local zoning department. A June 24, 2025 Hampton City Council meeting minute states the City Clerk received a call from the Bradford County Building & Zoning Department regarding a mobile home placement request and that city zoning density rules controlled whether it could be allowed. This is strong evidence that county staff handle permit intake/review while Hampton decides local zoning compliance.
