Application Process

  1. Contact Town Hall at (928) 485-2611 or email Building@pimatown.az.gov.
  2. Obtain a Building Permit Application from Town Hall or the current permit documents.
  3. Prepare and complete the Building Permit Application in accordance with town ordinances.
  4. Provide one full set of plans for Town Hall records.
  5. Submit the application and all required documents in person or by mail to PO Box 426, Pima, AZ 85543.
  6. Town Hall will contact you regarding required inspections and fees.
  7. Pay the permit fee.
  8. Schedule and complete required inspections (rough plumbing, pre-concrete, framing/roofing, mechanical/electrical, drywall, final).
  9. Post the permit card on site once issued.
  10. Obtain a certificate of occupancy after all inspections are completed and passed.

Typical processing time: 5-10 business days for initial application review.

General Requirements

Per town code, it is unlawful to apply for or provide utility service to any new building, mobile home, remodeled structure, or relocated structure without first applying for and receiving a valid building permit.
