Application Process

1. Obtain Town-provided permit forms from Building, Zoning, Floodplain or the forms contact.
2. Submit the application, plans, and any required site-plan review materials.
3. Do not begin construction until the permit is issued.
4. Request inspections listed on the permit.

General Requirements

Huachuca City Municipal Code Chapter 15.60 states that all owners or their authorized agents must obtain a building permit before construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, demolition, or change of occupancy unless specifically exempt.

Permit validity

Huachuca City Municipal Code states all building permits are issued for a 180-day period and can be renewed for one additional 180-day period at no additional charge or review.

Building code

Huachuca City Municipal Code Chapter 15.05 states the Town adopted the 2018 International Building Code by Ordinance 22-01 in 2022, with local amendments. The Town also separately regulates building permits and fees in Title 15.
