Application Process

  3. For land disturbance of 1+ acre, obtain NPDES Construction Stormwater General Permit through WV DEP Electronic Submittal System
  4. For septic system installation, submit Form SS-182A to WV DHHR Public Health Sanitation Division and obtain permit before installation

Residential building permits are NOT required in unincorporated Brooke County. Commercial and public buildings must comply with WV State Building Code (2015 IBC). Environmental permits required for stormwater disturbance (1+ acres) and septic system installation.
