Application Process

1. Download the zoning permit application from the town website or pick up at 171 Bridge Street.
2. Prepare a site sketch showing lot dimensions, property boundary lines, abutting streets, north arrow, existing and proposed driveways and structures with distances from property lines, surface water location, and floodplain notation.
3. Submit completed application with fee to the Planning and Development Services office.
4. Staff has up to 10 business days from receipt of a complete application to act on it.
5. Once approved, a state-mandated 15-day posting/appeal period applies before the permit is final.
6. Permit is issued; work must begin within 6 months and be completed within 2 years.
